Lest we forget - we are responsible and we need to act to save Pakistan

Lest we forget: we were given (not forced) money to breed snakes. When the money ran out, we continued to feed and breed the snakes thinking it will only bite whoever we ask it to bite.

Snakes are now a large family living in our house which they think is legitimately theirs and want us to leave or become snakes ourselves. Doesn't help dwelling upon who paid for making these snakes.

We have been doing this for the last three decades. Result is that the snakes have multiplied and mutated - just look at all sorts of mutated snakes trying to find all sorts of poisons (arguments) to support their brethren.

Yes, justice will be hurt, rights will be trampled, innocent will become involved - but when removing a filthy gangrene you sometimes have to cut the healthy organs as well. Sound cruel, but it saves the body.

  1. What you are saying is right to a certain extent but knowing our law enforcement bodies and our justice system there remains a strong possibility of innocent people being framed as we have seen in cases involving Blasphemy.
This is what Allah has to say in Quran about such matters

    "Holy Quran 16:126
    ------------------

If you want retaliation, let it be equal to that which you faced. But if you exercise patience it will be better for you."

  2. Nation has exercised patience for two decades and paid the price! Now is the time to retaliate - I agree in proportion and with justice.

Please do remember that it is globally proven that jails tend to become bonding and breeding grounds for these psychopaths. There true jail is Hell where they need to be dispatched (of course Allah knows where they will end)

  3. What happened in Peshawar is neither the first attack nor the last of the series in which we are the victims of the war of terror fought mainly by enemies of Pakistan (including some from within the country)
We appreciate sympathy and condemnation by the leaders of the world but we need positive action not lip service.
What we must understand that this is one of the so many attacks on our land and citizens and is significant just because of its magnitude.
We need to provide a long term solution
Without long term solution the attacks will continue from all sides, the sufferers as usual will be children, old and frail
Radical reaction by the army is bound to follow but is not the answer of the problem, we will just ignite the fire
Pakistan has put its own population at risk for the sake of financial help from west and this state has resulted in financial and moral loss

  4. What happened in Pakistan is bound to result in a Reaction called Revenge
Carlsmith says about revenge, "Rather than providing closure, it does the opposite: It keeps the wound open and fresh."
He suggests that when we don't get revenge, we can trivialize the event. We are able to tell ourselves that because we didn't go crazy, it wasn't the end of the world, after all. That way, it's easier to move on.
Revenge is, in fact, counter-productive to achieving the goal.
It is not easy to tolerate the sad loss of innocents especially children and therefore army and government will seek to punish them by bombarding North Waziristan.
In the past Americans by drones and Army on field has destroyed them, and no doubt a large part of casualties on their side included children, women and frail but we kept quiet as nothing has happened.
Pakistan should not make this mistake again.
There is a need to solve the problem by negotiation and communication otherwise we will ignite the fire which will result in a massive scale of casualties on either side.
My advice: Don't make the mistake of destroying villages by indiscriminate bombing the innocents but to talk and solve the problem once and forever.
Once they were our good Talibans

  5. You can't tame a serpent. You don't talk with snakes. To save your children you need to destroy them comprehensively. Terrorism as a mechanism for change is a proven failed concept. So is talking to terrorists - especially who are waiting for sex with 72 Virgins.

Only point that I agree is that every step must be taken to avoid loss of innocent lives.

By the way, please don't assume that terrorists reside in KPK only - somehow this appears to be our default setting. There are likely to be more Punjabi and Urdu speaking terrorists out there than is reported.
